Glenn Wright holds the highest designation with the Ontario
Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI) as an RHI (Registered Home Inspector)
member. All Registered Home Inspectors
in Ontario
must successfully complete the courses listed below (in addition to meeting
other criteria) which can be found on the OAHI website (www.oahi.com ).
- Part 9: The House - Building Envelope.
- Part 9: The House - Health & Safety.
- Residential Heating Inspection
- Residential Electrical Inspection
- OAHI Defect Recognition and Reporting Course
In addition,
all Registered Home Inspectors (RHI) must have a sampling of their inspection
reports verified by the Association’s board of examiners, meeting the high
standards of the OAHI and Pillar To Post.
Finally, before the RHI designation is granted, a technical background
in construction, building science or equivalent is required.
Glenn has
spent most of his working career in both the residential and commercial
construction industry (20+ years). As
well, he holds certificates as a journeyman sprinkler fitter in commercial fire
protection and holds a Gas Fitter 2 license from the TSSA (Technical Standards
& Safety Authority).
Glenn is also working
towards becoming a National Certificate Holder.
The National Certification Program was established to allow home
and property inspectors to be certified as competent and qualified
professionals. The National Certification Authority is an
arms-length body whose mandate is to manage and control the certification and
accreditation processes. This new
accreditation is supported by CMHC.
Glenn
carries full Errors & Omissions Insurance as well as liability insurance as
should every good home inspector.
